Protester and Defender
Lu is a police officer, she was arrested and locked up with a protester. They happened to be abandoned(forgotten) by the protester group.
"Do you know why people are against you guys?" Feng asked.
"Maybe because they are ignorant and naive."
"That's you, that's your scorning attitude that makes the conversation never a worthful one. You act like you know everything but the truth is you don't."
"OK, fine. So what do you know?"
"There are some dark business in the government. The form of totalitarian government is making our land a worse place."
"So, the government is the reason of your fall?"
"Yes."
"But how come the main land is developing much faster under the bad government? If you are under the same government, you are supposed to evolve the same as the main land does.”
"....The main land isn't all Okay. They are bad! We are not supposed to be governed by such a bad government!"
"OK, girl. What makes you unsatisfied with your government? Or what makes you believe that it is a bad government?"
"The act of anti-democratic, the act of restricting freedom of speech, the corruption and so on."
"OK, I'm with you on that. The main land isn't all perfect, and sometimes the media isn't functioning its duty of criticizing and finding the truth. It is becoming a mouthpiece of the government."
"You see it."
"But don't forget we are talking about what happening in this place. I suppose this place is where you enjoy a very high autonomy. Look at your newspaper, there is a high degree of freedom of speech. Look at your justice system, you enjoy a very International background of judges which makes the justice system a very non-communist one, the one I suppose, a not corrupted one. "
"and if you insist there are some corrupted officers, name one for me."

"If you think the main land is suffering from its totalitarian government, and since you are under one nation, why don't you give your 'brothers and sisters' some kind of support at the time there is some shadows in their politics? Why do people always see you describe mainland citizens as cockroaches and enemies , and not someone you want to help?"
"Take your actions into account, how can you expect mercy and kindness from mainland citizens when you are in trouble? "
"In my regards, you are just focusing on your satisfaction and imagination, not the true democratic values. You treat democracy as panacea but missing the real point of your fall--you missed finding new economic growth areas and your rise is just a coincidence."
" Your missing point of facts -- where does the government go wrong and true reasons that make your place worse than before, makes the protest an unconvincing one. Your rudeness and violence defiled the sacred name of 'revolution'."
"You are not trying to make changes to make up your delays. You just blame on the government, blame on the totalitarian, it really doesn't make sense. "
Lu's eyes darkened.
